Lists Have Been Started
It’s Saturday morning almost 5am and I have been up and about for over an hour now. The good thing is that I got almost 5 hours sleep before I woke up coughing. This is the longest stretch of actual sleeping in my bed that I have managed in over a week.
It was suggested that whilst I am rather incapacitated that I make myself some lists. This will both keep me from being bored and be useful for my prepping in the future. I think this sounds like a great idea so last night I started my lists.
List 1 – What would I be hoping to happen this weekend if I wasn’t ill?
- Make apricot jam
- Make plum jam
- Get laundry done
- Batch cook meals from freezer contents
- Dehydrate onions
- Plant sprouting potatoes
- Sunday morning shopping
List 2 – What do I think I can do this weekend because I am ill?
- Freeze fruit for jam
- Get emergency laundry done ie. What I will need for work on Monday morning
- Make list of preps I need to restock due to rubbish eating habits when ill
Thankfully my daughter Kathleen has said that she will come out today and help me in the house. Don’t get me wrong, she will be handsomely rewarded for this help, but it will make a huge difference to my preparations for next week. Kathleen has also said that she will go to Lidl first thing on Sunday to see what she can get for me that has been reduced.
List 3 – Stuff I have been ignoring over the last week
- Mail is still lying behind the front door – must look at that over the weekend
- Emails have not been answered this week as I was not able to guarantee my brain capabilities
- Visiting mum, absolutely cannot go near the hospital in this state
- Fan for hot weather is still in the box, way too much effort to try and put that together
- Do I have enough to do a batch of pressure canning? Too much effort to think about that right now. Do not look at that section of the freezer again until better.
- Budgeting plans are not happening as numbers are out of my capabilities right now
Thankfully I am starting to feel a bit better now so hopefully things will start to move and I can get on with getting on.
