Prime of Midlife

I Refuse To Have The Crisis
Where Are All The Genuine Bloggers?

Where Are All The Genuine Bloggers?

Having reached the magical midlife stage, I was hoping to find many more blogs from the more mature lady and what they are doing with their lives.

It seems however that most of the blogs are about travel or beauty and fashion.  Where are the women who are dealing with real life?  Those who have grown up children living with them, those who are caring for elderly parents, those who are juggling both whilst still working full time and trying to have their own lives?

It’s great that women can make money from blogging but really I don’t want to read posts that are written to enable payment to be received.  I want to read posts about women who are making things happen with their families and their communities.  I want to see that others are going through the same as me and get advice or suggestions for things that are useful to me in my life.

How to juggle so many demands, how to make money go that bit further, how to take some time to yourself without feeling guilty and how to stop feeling bad because your home is not like a show house.

I would like to read recommendations that are there because someone got something themselves and liked it.  Not because they were provided with it to write a review.  I am happy to see ads on a blog and will happily click them if they show something I am interested in.  I know this can give a small payment to the blogger.  What I don’t want is to have whole articles which are thinly disguised adverts for products.

Where are the women who are living their lives and getting through the daily struggles that so many of us are going through?

If you know of any genuine blogs out there, please let me know in the comments.  I would love to get to know other bloggers who are dealing with the same issues.
